Biotium’s new EverBrite™ mounting medium is an antifade mounting medium uniquely formulated for universally preserving fluorescence of all dyes across the entire visible and near-IR spectra. One major advantage of EverBrite™ mounting media is that they do not decrease the fluorescence of some of the cyanine-based fluorophores (e.g., Cy™2, Cy™5, Alexa Fluor^® 647 and DyLight™ 649), such as that observed with Vectashield^®. EverBrite™ mounting media may also be purchased with DAPI, which eliminates the need for a separate nuclear counterstaining step. After mounting, slides can be immediately viewed or sealed and stored at 4 ℃ for at least several months.
