	Recently, a new Omicron subvariant, XBB.1.5, is spreading rapidly and is considered by the WHO as the most transmissible variant so far. A new research result determined that XBB.1.5 has a substantially higher hACE2-binding affinity and strong immune evasion capability than previous dominant variants. Therefore, the research of this new variant and the development of effective neutralizing antibodies and vaccines against it is urgently needed.
