Anti-MMAE (Monomethyl Auristatin E) Antibodies and MMAE Conjugates

—To assist researchers in the study of MMAE release in tumor tissue

vc-MMAE antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) are stable in the extracellular fluid and smartly dissociate MMAE upon internalization into special tumor cells, enabling them to achieve and kill the targeted cells. 

Assessing ADCs is a commonly used test to evaluate the selectivity and efficiency of MMAE release and distribution in tumor tissues. Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization imaging mass spectrometry (MALDI-IMS) is a useful analytical tool for verifying whether ADCs release their cytotoxic agents within the tumor tissues as designed. In addition, ligand-based assays, such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), can be used to quantify unconjugated MMAE and total MMAE in plasma, tissues, and tumors.
