New application data for isomers of 13-hydroxy-octadecadienoic acid

These compounds have been found to be related to several diseases, including atherosclerosis, asthma, and several types of cancer. As the risk of disease is related to the ratio of the cis/trans isomers, the ability to separate them chromatographically is important.

One of our customers has developed a method to separate two of these isomers using our COSMOSIL Cholester column. This column excels at separation of geometric isomers.
